An idea has been brought to PMI; what are your thoughts on having a neon light (sign) made for BBB possibly using the planet and rings as it appears on the cabinet (bright colors) or muted as it appears on the apron.. At this point we would like to know if there would be interest in this project. There is no solid information we are just passing ideas back and forth and wanted to include the group.
If you have other suggestions please feel free to post.
The gentleman that suggested this is a member and will monitor the post and answer questions as they arise.
If we do produce these guess what Gene is getting for Christmas?
Everybody have a safe weekend.
See ya Monday

I'm interested too.
Hey Kim, when you ask these questions so you mind if someone associatates a poll with it (or Robert converts it to a poll), which should allow for you to receive more accurate feedback with less effort (tabulating)?

I just started looking into make a couple neon signs. BBB sounds great! I'm in. They seem to get cheaper the more you buy also (at least at my local neon shop), so everyone who wants one, please chime in. |

I would have to get one of these for the gameroom. Last week the topic of pinball related neons came up on rgp. I remember thinking then that the BBB planet logo would make an awesome neon. Hope the neon project gets done. Let me know where to send my deposit.

I'm in. I was talking to a sign guy about it already, but I hadn't really done anything yet.

It's a great thing! I'm in on it, and if the price is reasonable maybe even for two of it
Hmmm, this and ceiling mounted blacklight, a perfect BBB enviroment. I wonder how well lit the game is in itself in regards to General Illumination (I know that all lamps are individual connected...), like if it's playable in darkness (like for example Terminator 3 which isn't (turns off all lights quite often = > drain)). Have anybody played it in total darkness with only blacklight and so??

I just worry about the shipping. Neon signs don't
have a good survivabilty rate I've seen. _________________ Fred

Hmmm,
They could be shipped, properly packed, inside the game !!!
I'd like one and if the price is right probably two ! |

I'm thinking to do the same, but the external blacklight has to go on in sync with the internal one. Otherwise the effect of the internal blacklight would not be so great anymore as there's always a blacklight burning anyway.
Regarding the neon signs: count me in!
Just a question though: I suppose that these things don't last forever? What happens if it breaks? Can it be fixed or do you have to throw it away and buy a new one every few months? How long does a neon light usually last? |
