As far as I know the project has not been abandoned yet, which means it could certainly still happen. It seems like Gene tries to make his anouncements at shows. BBB was at Expo that year, the Kingpin mockup was at his show last year. I suspect that any big announcement will be made at or just prior to his show this fall. |

Gene is on the agenda to speak about KP at the Texas Pinball Festival in March.
Perhaps we will know more then.

I just spoke with Kim and apparently the King Pin project is on hold until the economy improves.
They are still looking for people to sign up which is one positive sign, but apparently a number of people have backed out.
