The project is officially on hold.
I talked to Gene and Kim on October 4, 2008 and they confirmed that they didn't have the 150 people they needed to go forward with the project. In fact, a couple of people had financial changes because of the bad economy and had to back out. This does NOT mean that the project is dead, it just means that for now, nothing is happening. I'm sure that if 150 people do sign up, it will start moving again.
I for one, really want it to go forward - even if I can't afford to buy one.

I confirm for 100% me order, and if you wanth to see t'is projet be a reality confirm or order one,you dont go to regret it and its a better investment than your money on the bank.
Lets it become a reality and order one.

And dont forget you only life ones and dont take your money to paradice.
If every member of this forum bye one its a go. _________________ BBB#69 PINBALL AN OBSESSION NOT A HOBBY

I'm not pulling out of this either. Would I miss another roller coaster ride like Big Bang Bar? No way!! _________________ BBB#37 - KP#37????? |

I've stayed in, and pretty sure managed to get a couple more Aussies to send over the form. I don't mind it being "on hold" a while as I would be hard pressed to justify the spend right now, just hope it is not dead and buried. |

I added an unofficial page to the BBBStuff site some time back to try and help. I need to talk to Gene to see if there is anything more formal and/or official that he would like me to do.

A little birdie told me that they expect sample chips in 4-5 weeks. Once those test out in a few real machines, then all of the pre-production hurdles will have been addressed. They probably need to get new quotes form all the suppliers and can then send the requests for deposit, perhaps in 6-8 weeks with a 2-3 week deadline. So, in 6-11 weeks interested parties will need approximately $4,000 - if all goes well and the price doesn't change, etc.

I am still in. I turned my form in a long time ago. Hope it's still counted.

Everyone that's interested should be okay - as either they will get a deposit request letter, or they will hear (right here) that they've been sent out and can send in a deposit based on a scanned letter or hand-written note or whatever they need to do to lock in. |

Thanks for the information. Sounds exciting.
Why are we getting 2 different stories? Project on hold vs maybe asking for deposit in 6-8 weeks.
Thanks,
Bruce

Ok.
Now I know to check the dates on the posts I read. Good advice no matter what.
Thanks very much for the clarification.
Sorry for my confusion.

That is an easy thing to miss. I sometimes get confused between the join dates and post dates, because to me the join date is more prominent. |

As long time no news here, i think we can switch from "on hold" to "dead"
I still think that a conversion kit definitively would make sense.
