Anybody still reading and posting here?? Rolling Eyes

I have not logged on for some time, but I got my Kingpin Letter/Flyer today. It's decision time for me. Confused I have all the faith and confidence in Gene. After all I was extremely happy with BBB, so I know he is up to the task and the quality will be great. The whole BBB experience was exhilerating and the prospect of getting back on the train for another ride is extremely tempting. Never thought I would spend 7K on a pinball machine, but I am finding myself leaning very strongly in that direction. Razz

Who is in?

I too got a letter from Illinois pinball.

I sure hope these get built as I'm all in on the Kingpin!!!

This is coming from somebody who hasn't opened his BBB yet. My thinking was owning a one of kind game just didn't make sence for me. With the depreciation loss of opening a nib BBB, I decided to try and sell it a few times. Now with the possibility of a matching rare classic pinball, not only am I taking my BBB forever off the market, but I'll be officially opening up my BBB in the near future. Totally finishing my basement is the only holdup and my first priority before the grand opening.

These two pins cost and are worth a lot of money. Especially for someone like me on my wages. But the thought of owning a Kingpin and BBB side by side is too good to pass up!

A final thought for me is the ride while watching BBB getting built. Looking forward to those BBB updates was too much fun. To me, Kingpin will be just as much fun and I have faith that once it gets started, that it will get done!

So get those yes responces mailed back so we can get this project off the ground!

Woooohooooo!!!!!

It took three years to build BBB - and that didn't need reproduced board sets. Given Gene's age and health, will he have the stamina/ability to see this through?

I believe that Kingpin, once green lighted via enough deposits (after the letters of interest reach the magic number), will progress in a very orderly and prompt fashion. In part, Gene can't be as assured of a profit if the ducks are not in a row and things don't proceed in a prompt and orderly fashion.

I do worry a bit about Gene's health and what happens to the project if he runs in to health issues in the middle of it.

TOG will be heavily involved in the Kingpin project from the beginning, which should raise buyer confidence for most (prospective) buyers.

For those that don't know, TOG was brought on board the BBB project after the "Bearcave Guys" left the BBB project in a rather sudden fashion. There may have been one or two other other guys in between, but most of the material BBB progress was made under TOG's reign.
