When I talked to Gene on 11/17, he told me that Kingpin was NOT announced yet because they still had some things to work out, but they were seriously considering doing it and were working out some things with the people they have building BBB right now. My personal opinion from my conversation was that Gene really wants to do it. He is working on acquiring an original machine so he can be sure that the new games are better than the originals. He found out that there were a bunch of parts for BBB that were on the game, but not in the plans because the plans were never finalized. In October of 2004, he said that he had already started doing some things for Kingpin during his talk at Expo. A year later, he told me that he had decided not to do it. If Gene starts it, I'm sure he'll finish it. Keep your ears open for a formal announcement.
