Wow - I got my letter from Gene today. Regular price $8000, for BBB owners, $7500. He wasn't really committing to making these but just trying to figure out who was interested. That's big bucks! _________________ BBB#37 - KP#37????? |

I'm out.
I hope he gets enough interest to make them though. _________________ Robert |

Gene needs to make more than the 125-150 machines to bring the price down to where more people can see paying. I really would like one but I can't see paying 7500. I don't mind paying a bit more than a NIB Stern but twice as much is just too high.
If he can produce enough to bring the price down to around 5500 I think there would be more demand (maybe even 500 units). After successfully building BBB I think many more people will come on board this time. There should be no limit on the number of machines produced since these will be made out of all new parts.
I'm hoping he rethinks the math to lower the asking price and still remain profitable before going to the outside the BBB community to maximize the amount of interest.
I'm going to send my letter in saying I want one but the price has to be lower. I want Gene to be profitable but he has got to take advantage of economies of scale. |

Our $ is so strong it'd cost me less for a KP now than an MM over here, so I'd probably go again. Hope it gets done. |

I'm in, and echo Latecomer's sentiments in hoping it gets made.

I need to play a KP before I can start deliberating the purchase.
I think Georgi had enough headaches with BBB and does not want to be too involved in KP, as the KP info all has Gene's name on it and is signed by Gene only. |

USD 7500,- is hard for the US guys, sure. For me here in Europe the price in EURO's is still much money, of course, but i think the machine is it worth.

I also feel $7,500 plus $300 shipping is too steep, for me.
I would be willing to buy in probably for $5,500-$6,000 range.
My 2 cents worth.

For me its a bit of history. yeah its a **** lot of money, but i really did want to have one. So i sold of 4 of my games...Still havent gotten the game but i know it was worth it already
Call me crazy, but i think 7500 for a Kingping is cheap It *2 new sterns, and this one will keep its value. |

I sent my letter back, indicating I would be in for a KP at less money, like $5,500 to $6,000.
If Gene can get more orders at a slightly lower price that would be great!
I just don't feel many (150+) will be able to pay nearly $8,000 (BBB owners at $7,500 plus shipping) to well over $8,000 for others.

Sign me up! I am sure Gene will have more than 150 people sign up for KP.
Let's put it like this, say he makes 200, just like BBB.
Assume the quality is the same.
What do you think they will sell for second hand? A lot more than $8K. Seen any BBB's lately for $8K, if so I will take one?
I am not saying you should do this as an investment, but I highly doubt you will ever find it cheaper than $8K. So for me I will purchase it now, because when people are asking more than $10K I will really be priced out.
Best of luck to all...especially Gene.
When can I send in my deposit?
Thanks,
Rob |
