Got another letter from IPB Friday asking if more people were interested. Anybody know how close he is to the number of games he needs to make these?

Not sure, my guess would be "not too many".

Perhaps if they combine the Kingpin production with a big Capcom spare parts order for the masses, then perhaps the project will be green lighted even if they don't get more letters of interest (and a high percentage of actual follow-up deposits).

Someone I know who is close to the project said last week that Gene has enough pre-orders to produce the game (over the 150 mark). That is NOT an official statement from IPB, so please don't take it as such - just a piece of (hopefully) good news.

Additionally however, not everyone that has sent a letter of interest will actually plunk down the money to order a game, so the project could still be on the bubble. The project is still progressing in an orderly manner.
