|
|
I just got off the phone with Gene Cunningham of Illinois Pinball and he will be signing papers with an engineer to redesign the PCBs necessary to produce Capcom KingPin. He expects to have some samples in 3-4 weeks.
In addition, Gene has found the original molds that Bally used to make rubber rings. They have the USA stamp on them. He found the original company that made them for Bally and is making new American rubber rings. He says they will have them in 8 different colors.
If you have any questions for him, he will be at his show on October 20-22, 2011 at the Executive Plaza Hotel - 1090 S. Milwaukee Ave. Wheeling IL 60090. _________________ Former BBB #95

Any word on when he might be starting to ask for commitments (money/deposits)?
Thanks for the update. Nice to know it is still moving forward. Wish I could go to the show(s). Got the time off and everthing. But we just bought a new van and trying to cut down on spending. Too much to do around home also.

I've heard that they believe that last technical issues is solvable and that they are just waiting for the working protos to test in several existing machines. Then they need to re-quote the BoM (Bill of Materials). Then the project would begin in earnest with deposit requests etc.. |

I did not go see Gene during Expo. I'm now hearing that he had a new flyer for Kingpin at his show with new prices (perhaps $8,000 with a BBB buyer's discount?). Does anyone have the flyer and could scan (150 or 75 dpi preferred) and email it to me? |

They are still waiting for a sample/test chip from the vendor. |
