The coin unit is actually a "comparator". I'm not positive, but I think you only need to unscrew the holder and replace the sample coin with whatever coin/token you want the unit to accept. Once you do that, you then do a "safe-clear" of your machine and when you set it up again, you can choose what unit of currency that coin/token is.
I set my machine to be 5-cent tokens so that when I put a bill in, I can build the credits faster. |

Do you mean to replace the sample coin of the coin acceptor or of the hopper? |

As far as I remember, the hopper doesn't have any sample coin installed.
If you open the currency column and look where the coins go, you'll see teh coin comparator. In there, you should see a coin or token installed between levers that measure its size. That's the one you'd replace. |
