I've got an Odyssey with a bad Tucson mobo. I've verified ALL the other components are good in a working machine including RAM, CPU, power supply etc.

My problem comes when I put all the components into a known good Tucson mobo that's never been installed in an Odyssey. It will power up to the logo, but go no further. No hard drive mounting, nothing. All jumpers are set correctly.

I've gotten similar results with other "Odyssey virgin" Tucson mobos. They only power up to the logo.

Any ideas?

Robert has been helping me with this problem along with some other people and we have a fix.

On the new motherboard there is a cmos chip (U278) Below the ISA slots.
On the original board this cmos chip is removed. You must either remove this chip or hook up to the new motherboard a keyboard and floppy drive to get it to start working.

Is this a one time deal? Or must they remain connected? I am trying to replace a mobo currently and I'm getting code 0000 with nothing on the screen. The mobo is getting power and HD is spinning up, but that's about it.
