Curious if anyone has seen this before. This evening I completed replacing my motherboard. My Odyssey lives again...thank God. However, when I power up with the new motherboard the only way I can get the machine to boot is to press the momentary reset switch on the GPIO box. As always, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

Maybe the motherboard needs a new battery? I notice the one you bought on Ebay didn't have a battery in it. _________________ Robert

Nope, I installed a new one when the old mobo was acting up. I suppose it could be defective though. I'll try a different one. |

Tony, try pulling the reset switch pin from the motherboard. Mine is disconnected and the machine boots fine. If you still have that new flyback transformer give me a price. |

Do you get any error code numbers on the status display before you press the reset button? Have you tried turning the MMS key instead? _________________ Robert

Sorry, I never followed up on this. My Odyssey "healed" itself on this issue. I don't know if it was impatience or what, but suddenly it no longer requires me to press the reset button to boot. Thanks for all the input everyone. |
