I thought this might be a nice thread to keep track of where you may still see Odyssey's in play today.

The last one I saw was a few years back at the Stratosphere in Las Vegas. I think they still had a few at Treasure Island too at the time.

In 03 and early this year I played the Odyssey machines at the Luxor. They also had them at Mandalay Bay but the double up feature on Top Hat 21 was disabled. Sad

I just returned from Vegas Wednesday (9/5) and did not see an Odyseey machine anywhere! Evil or Very Mad The Luxor apparently removed the at least 20 machines that they had. During this trip I was also in Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, MGM, NY NY, Imperial Palace, Billagio, TI, Bally's, and I am sure a couple of others, and.... nothing!.

I would guess the lack of a bill update for the ZT1101 would be the reason why they are no longer on the floor.

The WBA13 works in the Odyssey but getting it to fit is a challange as you have to make brackets in order for it to fit 100% correct.

You also need to reload your EEPROM (NOT the EPROMS) with a WBA code that sets the WBA correctly. The odyssey overseas had WBA bill units which accept the different currency.

The WBA 13 with the latest software will take the new bills.

However casinos will not go this route as the effort is not worth it for them espically with the ticket in ticket out being the next generation.

The death of the Odyssey is near for the public eye. The home owner will be the only ones keeping it alive. The monitor is also a problem as Casinos can not get replacments for them as well as the touchscreen.

Everything else is easily fixed.

The next thing to worry about is the NVRAM PROMS which have a 10 year life. The heart of the system!

Hmmm. They are probably still there then. That is a large casino. Sorry I missed them. I did win $675 on a $5 Wheel of Fortune though. Very Happy
