Has anyone ever attempted to refurbish the Odyssey cash can? Mine can no longer grab the bills with enough force to pull them down into the can. I think I need to replace the little o-rings but have no idea where to get them. Also, what is the tacky stuff on there? |

I have the same issue on mine and when I took the cash can apart, I discovered that those are not o-rings, but flat sticky belts that pull and guide the the bills all the way into the cash can. The belts run most of the way down the can and you have to take the whole thing apart to replace them.
HAPP controls sells them on their website but you have to buy a minimum quantity of 10 for around $75, so I think I might just test out a couple of rubber bands in their place first. The part number is 251023224P.
If there are several people on here that would be interested in them, I could buy the larger quantity and sell off the remaining ones I don't need. Or perhaps Robert has already been down that road... |

I actually have entire spare cash cans for this very reason. Luckily I've never had to use them yet. _________________ Robert
