Does anyone know what's so special about the motherboard power supply used in the Odyssey? I was working on an Odyssey this weekend and had suspected that the power supply might be on the fritz. After replacing it with another standard ATX power supply I couldn't get the new power supply to come on at all......nothing.
The wiring harness looks pretty much the same. I did notice on the Odyssey power supply that a few (two) of the leads on the 20-pin connector have no wires in them, but that's about all. Is this a proprietary power supply too? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

You need to turn the power suppy on for the first time. This can be done by shorting the PWR terminal on the motherboard. It's in the area where the rest of the output controls are like speaker, HD led, Pwr LED, Reset etc.
This only has to be done the first time when the power supply is new. |
