Hi Folks,
I have and odyssey machine Ive been trying to get up and running.
I just installed a new hard drive and did a saferam clear. The games come up and play fine but after a few minutes I cannot go back to the menu or change credit amount or go to help. The buttons appear to work fine because when I touch them they highlight.

Any Thoughts?

What games are you running? If you're playing a dedicated game such as Hot Reels, Banana Rama Deluxe, Strike It Rich, etc., you cannot return to the game menu.

When you say you cannot change the credit amount, does the machine do anything when you insert coins or bills?

Can you get to MMS to test the buttons and touchscreen?

I found out what my problem was!!!!!
I was running Diagnostics and noticed the play button was showing it was on then in the mms. When you pushed the button the mms screen said it was released. I looked at the wiring on the button and found the wire that was supposed to be on the normally open connector was on the normally closed connector.

Wire now moved and the machine works great.

I wonder if this is why the previous owner got rid of it hmmm.
