If you are very careful in how you handle the files, you can simply mount the drive using a SCSI controller on a PC in a DOS environment and move files around.
Working in a DOS environment helps to ensure that those pesky hidden files that Windows likes to create won't get placed onto a new drive you create. The Odyssey OS likes to scan the disk while you're playing it to ensure that all the files on the disk have the proper signatures.
I don't remember the layout of the three partitions well enough to remember what I did to move the games around. I know that there is a game directory that includes all the files specific to that game (including an inventory file that lists the files needed for that game).
In addition, in the SYSTEM\LGLGAMES directory are files that tell the Odyssey which games and which particular odds are permitted in your jurisdiction. It's tricky to match up the XNNNN.X file with the game it goes with. I think it's okay to have files in LGLGAMES for which you don't have the games, but I seem to recall that if you have too many games/odds available to select, the selection screen gets confused. |
