What would cause the game to freeze up while playing? I have to turn the power off and restart it to work again. It still keeps all the credits that were accumulated when it froze up.

A few things come to mind
First check the CPU FAN to ensure it's running!
The cause can be the actual CPU, Motherboard or the Hard Drive.
CPU / MB would be my first shot second would be the Hard Drive. I have seen this before happen once or twice on a game but never again. If it keeps locking up then there for sure is an issue.
Bad sectors on the hard drive or READ / Write errors can also cause a lockup but the system should give you an error code inside the front door.
The game will keep all credits as this is protection for the player / Casino to keep all things fair. That information is stored on the Psyco board on NVRAM which is in a slot on the MB. |
