Yep, that’s two Kingpins side by side next to a BBB. Where else but at California Extreme can you find one quarter of the existing Kingpins in a single location?
Here’s another shot with John Casiday, who owns the leftmost Kingpin and the BBB. John has been gracious enough to take these games to multiple California Extremes for them to be enjoyed by the appreciative attendees.
A little off topic, but why is pinball champ Bowen Kerin’s on a video game cycle at California Extreme?
He’s on there because the cycle powers the flippers on this modified Addams Family. In order to keep flipping, you have to keep pedaling! The flipper buttons are located on the handlebar of the bike.
Not only that, but as you pedal harder and harder the flippers get stronger, a set of under-playfield strobelights starts up, electric candles mounted on the sides of the backbox light, Uncle Fester’s lightbulb illuminates on the topper, and finally if you really pedal hard sparks will start traveling up the Jacob’s ladder in the back.
California Extreme certainly gets points for creativity!

As editor of the Spinner Magazine of the Dutch Pinball Association, I was wondering if I could use the TAF pictures in our upcoming issue (oktober). Looks like a fun article to me. |

So is one Kingpin translite brownish and the other purplish or is that just a lighting effect?
That moded AF is pretty cool. What a neat concept, but man I get sweaty enough during a good game - I would be dripping and reaking playing that thing. Sure as heck would get me to excercise more. |
