Hello Group,

I spoke to Cliffy yesterday. I mentioned many were interested in a 2nd tube. He is thinking he may offer the ring set as a complete package Rings already installed on a new 2nd tube.

That way, you can remove the factory tube and place it away in a safe place (inside cabinet most likely).

He's working on this and I'll keep you posted.

Please let me know if there is more interest in a tube / ring package or just the set of rings.

Thanks Kerry Richard #111

I'd go the 2nd tube route! Hats off for the support!

It just keeps getting better Very Happy The preinstalled kit sounds great, solves two problems. Count me in.

I'd definitely take a pre-assembled replacement tube with rings. I believe there's a bracket or two that gets riveted to the tube, so it might be easier for most folks to have a complete assembly.

Definately in for the rings, I'll wait and see what the shipping cost is for the full tube to Oz as the amount of packaging needed to protect the full tube might make it costly.

Well if there is the option of buying a tube with rings installed, then please notice the following. The main pronlem the former projectmanagers of the BBB project saw with the orange rings is the fact that there are 2 metal pieces rivited to the tube. One is holding a switch near the entrance of the tube, the second is holding the tube in place and is mounted near the exit of the tube. If you want to install the rings, you need to drill out the rivits and then there might be a problem of how to re-attach the ramp to the metal parts. Not everybody has the possibillity to rivit ramps. There is also the risk of damaging the tube if the wrong rivits are used. If a tube + rings service would be available, I'd suggest to have the 2 metal parts also installed. Everybody can screw the switch to the metal afterwards.

Perhaps Gene is willing to provide the manufacturer info who already did the tube and metal parts.

Definitly a complete kit, the easiest and quickest way to get your BBB to full blossom Very Happy

Sure it wouldn't be a problem with only rings, but to simplify the installation and keep your "original" I guess a kit is the best way to go.

Euhm, the hardware isn't really riveted to the tube. It's attached with those plastic clips like you use to install a pc ventilator, so you can take them out if you'd like. I don't know how easy it will be to take them out, but theoretically, it's possible.
I'm in for a complete set too, although it depends a bit on the price.
