TOG,
Thanks for the updates.
As before, is there any chance we can get information on what dates have been eliminated based on current progress? Are the next two weekends even a possibility, or are they unlikely at this point? Is May out?
I really appreciated it when you eliminated April a few weeks back, as it let me plan my weekends without contingencies. Any additional similar information would be helpful.
Thanks!

'you're not dreaming, it's real'... 'yes you are it's a cruel joke'.. 'no it's real''... 'ha ha no it's fake..''' shut up fool it's real'.. 'dude, get off the lsd, it's real'.. 'dude back at you, uou've been waiting how long, it can't be real'... 'snap out of it fool, and make your plans now!'
Ah the ramblings of a sick mind.. |

Will anyone be taping the pickup and other festivities? Also maybe some shots of a herd of machine waiting on pickup and some being loaded for shipment by truck. _________________ Ken S |

I'm going up on Thursday and will capture as much as I can with the HD camera. I'll be using it in the video, but if anyone wants an un-cut web copy I'll hook y'all up.

Sample shipping costs:
L.A. $405.55
This is dock-to-dock and arrival natification.
Includes a 72% discount off freight.
Prices vary based on zip code. |
Just FYI, this is VERY high for dock-to-dock, for this quantity of games, especially if it includes a supposed 72% discount.
I just shipped a game from the East Coast to L.A., door-to-door, using NAVL for that price. I would have thought with such a large shipment of games, *plus* the fact it's dock-to-dock, that it would have been closer to the $200 range.
Don't get me wrong, I'll gladly pay that to get my BBB. I just thought it would have been quite a bit less than that. _________________ Robert

Careful Robert, you might get called a whiner...............
I have to agree, that some pretty high shipping! I would think with that kind of discount, $200 should be the range as well. Maybe this is going to be the going rate with diesel at $3 per gallon...............
I'm glad I'm picking mine up now................. _________________ Mike

Robert,
I agree. That is very high especially dock to dock. (Not whining, just an opinion.)
I am not a math expert, so please forgive me if I am wrong, but the regular shipping cost without the discount would be roughly $1448 dock to dock (based on the LA shipping quote). Well, I can say I will never use them to ship a game!
I usually use Forward Air. I have sent several crated pins (500 plus lbs.) back and forth to TX (from Washington DC) for less than $250 dock to dock.
Last year, prior to receiving the shipping arangements, I received a quote of around $600 from NAVL to deliver the four local BBB's to one address in Washington DC.
Of course I am with Robert here, I will be happy to pay whatever the cost ABF cost is.
I am looking forward to receiving the pin. To all those are picking up this week-end, enjoy!
