Very cool!

FYI, it looks like the clock on your webcam is off by 30 minutes

Warning!!!!! The activeX that this program runs will modify and infect your Windows Messenger Service with an exploit and open your computer up for remote access!!

If you have run this activeX, run services.msc and disable the Windows Messenger Service!

Have any links for more info? How did you find out about the exploit?

No, not all activeX applications are bad, in fact you really do need most of them. When you do a Windows Update, an activeX is loaded and checks your software that's installed on your computer. You only should allow activeX applications to run if you trust the site you are on.

I should have known better than to run the script (activeX) but did anyway. As soon as it ran, my firewall was showing a bunch of activity from the Windows Messenging Service.

Windows Messenging has nothing to do with Windows Messenger, but has to do with internal messenging (like when your backup program is done and sends a popup message telling you it's done).

You really don't need the service running and in fact a lot of spyware expoits this service to popup ads and such.

To disable you must turn the service off (disable). To do this:

Click on Start
Click on Run
Type: services.msc
On the right side of the window, find MESSENGER and double click it
Click on STOP to stop the service
Set Startup Type to Disable
Close the window and you're done.

This may also help in keeping some of the spyware popups from coming up as well.
