My DMD likes to go down to a single line across the display from time to time. if you knock on the display it will return to normal. any idea where i should start on this? i reseated all the connectors and pushed in the idc connectors on some that seemed not seated as well as they should be.
my next thing is to see if i have some cold solder joints but does anyone know where i should start? what cable would cause the display to go to one line. My first guess is it has to be the data cable since obviously i have power to the display. but does the display info come from just the cpu board?

Cold solder joints first, especially the big connector. Try a different DMD after that, or a different ribbon cable. |

Big connector is prone to the pins coming off the DMD having broken solder joints. Not the ribbon cable.
Sorry for the confusion, I thought by big connector would differentiate it from the ribbon cable. |
