|
|
My tube dancer has a few stray hairs floating around in her tube. Thought I would remove them. Removed the two nuts on the adjacent light board and the sheet metal screw on the left (nice that this screw mates to a receiver that stays put). Then realized the tube dancer's suit bottom attaches to the tube in some fashion. Decided to check here first before attempting disassembly. Anyone have any tips... will leave the few stray hairs alone for the time being. Thanks. |

You have to take the entire tube off and you will see how it all works. I saw the same in mine and wanted to clean it. I didn't know exactly how it was mounted and quickly found out the tube is glued to the mounting. It was not glued well, Krazy glue worked fine to fix it. Be careful!

Tom,
Thanks for the reply... looks like I made the right choice to just leave it alone. She can go bald before I will mess with her LOL...

I finally got tired of looking at the stray hairs floating around as well.
I took the screws off the bottom, and there was enough play in the tube to get a compressed air nozzle in and that blew them out nicely.
P.S. Am I the only fool who bought a flesh tube dancer thinking I could switch her out in ten minutes? |

The tube dancer does remove fairly easily...
With the sign removed and the screw on the left removed, gently lift the tube assy w/ dancer up. The wire will pull out of the doll...
Remove the clip & push the pivot /belt into the tube and you're about done.
Re-assembly is reverse, just remember to be gentle!!! Remember what mama says "If it don't fit, DON'T force it"! _________________ "BBB 77" |
