Here are some additions to TOG's list that might be worth considering for long-term maintenance of these games (this is not my list - I'll type that in later):
A-00135-1 Assembly, plunger/link & clamp (diverters)
A-00147 Assembly, sub, plunger & tip (kickback, ball ejector)
A-00217-BK Assembly, flipper bat, black
A-00329 Assembly, plunger/link (slingshot)
A-00369 Assembly, plunger & tip (ball trough)
A-00573 Assembly, coil (power gate)
FB-00104 Plunger, link, fiber (star bumper)
MR00108 Motor, 12 VDC, 65 RPM (aliens and tube dancer)
MT00379 Plunger, link, metal (star bumper) *
PL00150 Link, plunger (diverter)
PL00132-01 Sleeve, coil, 1.745" long (star bumper)
PL-00229-P Skirt, purple (star bumper)
PL00246 Link, plunger (slingshot)
SG00117 Spring, ext, 0.250" x 0.440" long (drop target return)
SW00106 Switch, micro, with actuator (drop targets)
* In my experience I've seen more broken metal bumper links than fiber links
ADD to flipper rebuild kits:
PL00264-1 Bushing, flipper
SG00111 Spring, ext, 0.240" x 0.834" long _________________ Joseph "Tony" Dziedzic

I must be missing something and I'd like someone to tell me what I missed. Fred's request for spare parts lists the main ramp and the ramp intersection as part #'s PL-00321 & PL-00322. Owners have used these part numbers when submitting their requests. I was going through the manual to make sure I wasn't missing something and the part numbers for these two ramps are different. Main ramp is A-00513 and ramp intersection is A-00519, page 114. Are these the same parts? Are Fred's numbers replacement numbers? captkirk BBB#78 _________________ BBB #102 |

TOG,
I'm in for most, if not all the replacement parts but I want to wait until you put together a comprehensive list of ALL the parts that are going to be offered. _________________ Mike

You are correct! The numbers are different.
The manual spec's the entire ramp assembly (A-00513 Assembly, Ramp, Main), which includes switches, wires, brackets, other plastics, etc.
The base plastic ramp is PL-00321. This is the actual plastic that is the ramp. This is usually what is offered as you take the hardware from your broken ramp and install it to your new ramp.
The ramp intersection is similar...

The intent for this thread is to see what you (BBB owners) want for spare parts.
Being a maintenance technician, I personally think that if you have a machine running, there should be enough spare parts in the closet to completely rebuild it at least once. Yes, that would include a spare cabinet and complete wiring harnesses too!
This, however, is not practical. Reality suggests that you pick the parts you think you will probably need and have a couple on hand...
I could waste the time to list every single part in the machine, make a chart to track what people want, and end up not really using 95% of that chart.
Or, I could ask you what you want, see how much it will cost to make all those parts (that we don't have) and then take orders and make the parts...
If anyone has a better idea, I'm game!

I'd be in for a flesh colored tubedancer and a playfield IF those are going to be made. I left them off originally because I was only using the list TOG provided. Sideart too, if I didn't list it already |

How bout some current Capcom owners chime in on what parts are common that wear / break and are hard to replace? I'm thinking more in terms of circuit board related stuff, but it can also apply to playfield parts..
PS - I'm in for the obvious break parts like most others such as drop targets, plastics, and other stuff like that, as well as flipper parts.. |
