just noticed that the tube on my tube dancer is cracking all crazy like.
looks like how tempered auto glass cracks.
anyone see anything like this on their game?
TOG, Kim, are replacements available? I'll buy one.

Mine is also broken at the base. I noticed it was broken in the first week of ownership. I am hopeful a replacement becomes available for puchase. No cracking elsewhere though.

Mine did that too, very early on. It's a simple butt joint of tube glued to the base, and as it takes a small amount of twist action, the joint won't hold for long. I fixed this by using the orange ring addition available from pinbits.com, by roughing up the edges and base and using epoxy to attach the new ring to the base and the tube into now what becomes a slot with sides as well as base contact. _________________ Vegemite Nick #123 |

The most likely reason that your plastic is cracking other than being hit by an air ball would be chemical action, Similar in fashion to the way acrylic cracks when exposed to strong detergants.
Did you use crazy glue adhesive to do a repair?
The best solution for sticking your tube dancers tube back together would be silicone. |

it hasn't broken yet. I haven't touched anything in the game besides fixing mechs and using correct springs and usual alignment.

We can make these, if anyone needs them. No plans to make them into a product as we don't see a lot of demand, but we can help out if you are in need.

Might be able to help with that. I need the length of the tube; the diameter of the hole; and the distance from the hole to the base. Pictrues will be helpful. |

Here are the 2 pics of my tube.
I've done nothing to the tube and no diverters or anything were tweaked or have ever hit the tube as long as i've owned the game. I tested these before removing the tube.
I'm not 100% positive that this wasn't like this slightly from the start and has just became worse over time.
Looking for a replacement from IPB or otherwise. I have no problems paying for one.

Well, obviously your tube dancer is just too energetic - looks like she's bouncing off the sides of the tube. Are you running with any adjustments for low line voltage?

Looks like stress from temperature changes. Polymers breaking down...?
Interested to see if you replace this if applied heat would fuse the cracks back together on your old one, like re-glossing a clear ramp.
Just an idea... |

Are you sure you want to change it? It's probably one of a kind and actually looks pretty cool. ;o)
