I visited the assembly facility near Chicago when I was at Expo and interviewed Gene for my upcoming video. Anyway, here are some pictures to keep you going for a while (more will come - I promise):

A link to the high res version is at: http://www.pinsandvids.com/BBBPics/DSC00009.JPG

This was the most complete playfield the team had built at the time. Gene told me that this would be Kim's. Kerry and the team were building sample playfields that would be used as a model for the people doing the assembly. Various playfiels would be made to show what the playfield loooked like at that station's phase so there would be no questions when assembly began.

This was an assembly station where sub assemblies were being put together.

Gene told me that I was looking at $400K worth of parts in this picture. These are assemblies that have been put together and then marked as to what they are for when they are added to the playfield.

That's all for now, but I'll get working on some video clips for you to enjoy.

Great pictures, thanks al! Looking forward to the videos!

Kim's playfield looks almost playable, so I do have to ask the question nobody seems to dare to ask.... is it tried out yet???? (as of now, that is not when you took the picture).

I too believe that Kim's machine is very close to completion, although the top of the playfield still has to be done and I don't know how much work that is. We won't have our machines by Christmas, but maybe the first fully working prototype will be finished by then? Very Happy

Sweet pics, Al. Thanks.

With Christmas coming around, I am reminded of something involving many children's presents.

"SOME ASSEMBLAGE REQUIRED!!!!!!"

Seriously, I can't imagine the amount of work involved. And I'm not just talking about putting the stuff on the playfields. I'm talking about assembling all the assemblys that have to be assembled on the playfield.

I know we have been without for a long time. I don't want to do anything that will not be within what the Cunninghams wish. As you can see, this is an incredible task, but seeing those shiney new mechanisms stareing back at you really puts the whole process in perspective.

I have cut the first video clip, it's about 3 minutes, I'm sending Kim the link for her to approve it before you guys see it. I'll try and do one each week until I run out.

I really can't wait to show all of this stuff so there are a lot more coming.
