I just talked to Gene. May 12th was being batted around as the pick-up date, but it is not going to happen. There are still two parts missing for some of the games. These are some Arrows for the ramps and some of the hand-made aliens. Gene is on his way to the Allentown show and the missing parts should be arriving in a week or so. May is still possible. Please keep this info limited to the forum.

Thanks for the info update Al, I'm sure everyone here appreciates it.
I'm curious though, I wouldn't have thought a part like the ramp arrows or aliens would be short as those would have been made in a batch. Was the inital order # too low, did they lose a batch, was the quality of some really bad? I'm just trying to envision it.. I had assumed all along the missing parts were hand made wiring looms or something odd like that.. |

What I know from my various conversations with Gene is that the Aliens are hand-made and painted. I was surprised at that one as well. The ramp arrows are on the delicate side at the connector and I think there was some loss due to damage. We'll have to be real careful working around them. I hope I'm not talking out of turn on these items. When I talked to Gene on the phone on Wednesday, he advised me that I could update the forum with this information and when I said I would keep the details to myself (because I thought that's what he wanted), he told me that he was fine with explaining what was holding things up. He was driving to Allentown when I talked to him and Georgie made sure I KNEW that May 12 was off the table. I could tell that Gene is really dissapointed by this because he really is looking forward to delivery day. He is also planning quite the event for the pick-up people!
Maybe someone will meet up with him in Allentown and report back. This is the first year in 8 that I didn't go to A-Town.
