Could somebody post metallik's summary of the events, per his call to IPB and what was posted on RGP ?
When I contacted Steve, he just stated that he can't really go into it, but that he knows "lies are already being spread about him", and that he and Bob have been or will be blamed for delays in the BBB project.
Does anybody know anything for sure about this, or how it will affect the BBB project ?

| No real info from the call except an assurance that BBB will still be made. Nothing from anyone to indicate the source of the dispute. While I am certainly curious what happened, it's not a real big deal... just disappointing that Bearcave no longer part of the project after all the time and effort they put in it. |

I posted this on the Georgia Pinball list the day after Bearcave folded:
"According to Georgianna, the Bearcave guys had a disagreement with Gene
and resigned. They are still building BBB and someone will be setting
up another forum. There really wasn't much else I could get out of
her. She kept saying "it's just like when someone looses a job", I
guess inferring that it might have been Gene that pulled the plug, I
don't know. She was unable to give me any dates for anything, but I
think I'll make another call in a week or so. If anyone else has the
initiative, make a call and let me know what you find! Bearcave has
shut down completely."

 Removed my shear speculation... just read the update thread. Sounds like BC and IPB are taking the high road... speculation unwarranted and unneeded at this point...

Effective as of August 1, 2005, we are closing Bearcave Games. Please contact other Bally/Williams distributors for your pinball parts needs.
We have resigned from our positions at IPB/PMI and any involvement with the Big Bang Bar project.
