Here are a few thing I have learned about CAPCOM Lamp Diag's:
(When this is updated, I'll put a date next to the new info...)
1. You will always get 1ea error for 48B, the light on the apron. This is due to the programming...
2. Sometimes the diag's show multiple errors because of the lamp matrix.
If a diode is bypassed (by a bent terminal or solder run), it may show all the bulbs in a row or column as errors.
If you dim the room lights (in single lamp test), other lamps will light when they're not supposed to (note: all lamps will normally flicker to some degree but not light). When the offending lamp is found, the rest of the mystery errors will vanish...
3. Sometimes, a lamp will be reported as an error but will be working (and no other lamps are being lighted). Sometimes just removing & reinstalling the bulb will cure it. Sometimes, replacing the bulb fixes it. _________________ "BBB 77" |
