I have read Cliffy and Martin's post about the foam behind the green targets stopping or helping dimpling. But mine is dimpled in the pop bumper area also. Really the whole PF. Any thoughts??? Sad

It will occur no matter what, sadly. Look at any modern pinball and you'll see dimpling. If the clear itself doesn't dimple (varathane) then the plywood will. This is all attributed to the ball becoming even ever so slightly airborne and then landing. Mylar helps reduce dimpling by spreading the load of the impact somewhat but even then repeated ball landings in the same spot will dimple the pf through the mylar. Hopefully Martin wil have some precut mylars for the bumper area soon as it will help.

For the moment, I would suggest turning down the solenoids a touch, and maybe even gapping up the pop bumper switches a bit. That will dramatically reduce ball action in the bumpers, which should help with dimpling, until we get to a better solution.

I am finishing up the ring projects, then it is on to mylar. I don't know how effectively I can cut it yet, but if I can do it I will do mylars for the pop bumpers, dartz kickout and under the ramp.
