|

I now have the glitter paper (actually vinyl) and am ready to slice and dice it out to all those that emailed interest. But since my game is still in the box, I need to know how long it is from the inside front of the cabinet to the rear of the playfield.
Here's my question - would 5 feet of length cover it? And is there more than 7.5 inches exposed vertically on the insides? My plan was to supply a 15"x60" piece to be cut in half by the end user.
Thoughts? _________________ Robert

Length is 46" not counting any extra length needed to account for the paralellagram shape that might be most desireable, but that couldn't add more than an inch or two.
Playfield side rail to glass is around 6.5" Playfield to glass is just shy of 7.5".
15" x 50"+ should do the trick. |

I just pulled the roll out to start cutting it up and noticed the film itself is 14 inches wide. It's the backing paper that's 15" wide.
So my question is, will 7" x 50" be enough for each side? _________________ Robert

Yes I think 7" it will be fine. I just re-looked at things. Based on my best estimates and observations at 7" it will stop about 1/4" below (NOT short of, but beyond the top edge of) the black playfield bracing on top of the playfield at the very back, where it is already real hard to see anything anyway.
I also tried to figure out the paralellagram thing. The PF from tip to tail is 46-1/2". The cabinet front is around 100 degrees from the side, which adds about 3/4" to 1" to the length in the front at the bottom, but this is all beneath the apron and not even remotely visible to begin with. 48" will allow an inch or two excess material in back of the back board, depending on if the front is cut at an angle or not.
So I think 14" x 48" will do the trick. |

Good, because I've cut 14" x 50" pieces. Thanks for the help. _________________ Robert
