I just found some BBB-pictures from a tour at IPB that Classic Playfield Reproductions in Halifax did, check out this link: ILLINOIS PINBALL - The Tour
Impressive warehouse, *sigh* I so do wish to one day be able to testplay Wizard Blocks to get to know if it was/is better then both RFM and SWEP1 as the rumors says.
The fourth P2K-machine there also makes me a bit curious, could it be a Playboy prototype (if one exists that is...) ??!! _________________ BBB #79 has arrived here in Stockholm, Sweden! |

at least one playboy does exist and i believe Gene has it.
this gives good perspective of what IPB is dealing with daily.
I would love to rummage through those huge stacks of parts
Kim, on a side note. If I ever get fed up and quit my job can i come work there???

If you worked here and you saw all the parts would you have a paycheck left at the end of the week

Wow, that really is a lot of stuff. It brings up a couple of questions:
1. Does Gene get to keep all of the molds and parts after October 1st when Wayne and crew take over?
2. Can Gene now sell directly to the public or does he have to continue to go through the dealer channel?
3. Can I have some? |

Well, that all looks pretty familiar to me, just a lot more boxes than when I left
I can tell you all about WB and (indeed) Playboy as I played them both when Gene was so kind to give me a peak into his collection....

how would you review them?
IMHO they tried to use too much of the video screen on RFM to the point where most of it filled up the whole upper playfield area and you couldnt see what was going on. E1 seemed to be better where you would have items show up over the ramps and it made more sense.
It would have been great to see how this would have advanced over time.

I was thinking more along the lines of adoption Kim, what would you think about having a new bother, if that doesn't work maybe another son....? Looks like a fun place to hang out.

I'm not sure I could walk into ANY of Gene's storage buildings. I had one hell of a pingasm just looking at the pictures. No telling what would happen if I saw that stuff in person. Holy sh*t, there goes another one just thinking about seeing that stuff in person. Man, I've got to bookmark that site. That's what I'd call pinball porn.
You wouldn't happen to have a White Water speaker panel in all that mess, Kim? _________________ Bryan Kelly Former BBB #123 |

Actually my building isn't as much of a mess as the rest of the area.
The black bags that you see are shredded paper that gene had brought from the accountant over the weekend and he just put them in a big pile as a surprise for me.
The rest of the areas definitely turned in to a mess when the guys were trying to get all those bbb parts up here and go thru them. We had to wait for gene to finish the room so all of those parts could be moved.
Then there is the show stuff that I had started to sort and prepare for the next show but bbb took over all of the open floor space.
It is a little neater since we have been moving stuff but the prod room still needs alot of organizing.
That will happen when bbb is over and i have a couple extra hours in the morning.
As far as gene's game room goes, after you've had to move those heavy a.. machines a couple of times and goodness knows they need to be carried because you don't want to jar them, pinball isn't near as much fun.
We never collect anything that's light and easy to move.
But the wizard blocks is a cute game to play, and playboy is alright although we had to place rags in the holes so we don't have to keep lifting the playfield to retrieve the balls.
Never a dull moment.
Enjoy the pictures keep your fingers crossed that Gene has good news to report when he returns from chicago tomorrow

p.s. right now i could use a couple of trustworthy brothers |

Oh, so there does exist a P2K Playboy machine, wow! Just thought it was a rumor about what was planned for the platform.
As CraigC suggests, Unigroove, I would also love to get a review on both Wizard Blocks and Playboy, about flow, playability, projection in comparison with the release P2K-games. Pppplease!!!! _________________ BBB #79 has arrived here in Stockholm, Sweden! |

Here is an interesting story about wizard blocks, but there is some kind of disillusionment in it.

Thanks for the link, am sure some here hasn't seen the excellent page about P2K that Mr. Startrek has.
I'm still hoping we get a little playguide and a personal review from Unigroove... _________________ BBB #79 has arrived here in Stockholm, Sweden! |
