FWIW,
DO NOT SOLDER A DIODE TO THE FLASHER CIRCUIT!!!!

I can't seem to find anyone who stocks #1816 lamps - anyone got any ideas - someone with them or an effective substitute?

1816 is a 13 volt bayonet base ( BA9) here is a bulb chart

I would think any of the 14 volt bayonet base ( BA9) should work nicely.
