A letter was mailed to BBB owners today from Pinball Manufacturing about a new product being announced. I'm not saying, but it's a Capcom and it's not a part or enhancement for BBB. <Grin>

Actually, I don't know the details so it would be cool if whoever gets it first would share them. I'm mostly concerned with a number behind a dollar symbol.

The price is $8000 for a King Pin.

If you purchased a Big Bang Bar, then the price is discounted $500 to $7500.

I received my letter today. I was very surprised as I have not been reading this forum much lately. And there is nothing on the Kingpin forum about the sale.

The letter leaves lots of questions. In particular, will there be a deposit again? How much? When will it be do?

The pin will be made as close to the original as possible...what does that mean exactly?

Who is doing the manufacturing? Is it PMI?

Does Gene have an original? Will there be one available at his show?

Sorry for all the questions...

I am most likely in (okay, 99.9%), but I will need some time to sell a few pins. Anyone want a super sweet IJ?

I have some facts and some educated guesses so here you are...

The pin will be made as close to the original as possible...what does that mean exactly?

Fact: Gene does NOT have an original, but he has access to a couple.

Guess: That said, I don't think there were prints made for this game so he's going to have to repro things by measuring originals and having them protoed.

Who is doing the manufacturing? Is it PMI?

Guess: Gene will farm out parts of production like he did with BBB. I'm sure it will have the PMI name on it.

Will there be one available at his show?

Fact: A non-playable Mock-up will be at the show.
