|
|
So i got to the final mode last night, and the game puts 3 balls in the lane, on the same time (!). And the plunger cant pull 3 balls at one time...
So i hade to tilt the game and final mode gave me 0 score, that kind of sucks.
Anyone else had this problem? So i know where to start looking. |

Check that the switch in the shooter lane is operating properly; if it doesn't register as closed when a ball is in place then the software will feel free to load the next ball into the shooter lane during Big Bang mode.

I agree with Tony, but just one othe piece of advice on this one. When you check the switch, don't use your finger to push down the switch wire, use a ball. Your finger can press the switch wire just a little bit further than a ball can and this will give you the opinion that everything is fine when it isn't. I know it's obvious to some people, but I thought I'd mention it.

You could start a new game with a ball in the outlane - if it thinks one is missing that switch is definitely the culprit. _________________ Vegemite Nick #123 |

As someone pointed out once, you can take advantage of this setup to get lots of points in big bang.. when the game ejects a ball to the shooter lane, plunge it up most of the way, but not far enough to put into play. It'll eject a 2nd ball, plunge these up to get a 3rd in the plunger lane. Now you can play a 1-ball Big Bang with 3x scoring :) |

Obviously if something isn't working right, you should fix it. But in an "emergency" you COULD do what my brother does, which is to slam the shooter rod instead of plunging it. I'm not sure where he picked up this habit/technique and don't like it from a perceived machine abuse point of view, but he is far less accurate with the traditional method. On occasion I will use this method at a show when the shooter rod spring is too weak to launch a single ball - but it makes me cringe a little. |
