|
|
After 18+ months, I'm about to finally unbox my BBB!
I'm thinking of doing a purple mod on the game - side rails, lockdown bar, legs, leg bolts, all cabinet bolts, even the coin door. Powdercoating is probably the best way to go as long as I can get a color match close enough.
Has anyone done anything to their games like this or am I nuts? _________________ Robert

If a green one like Kim's would be on the market, I'd probably buy one, but having it powdercoated myself ?? Naah ! _________________ Bye

No other style except the original (black) trim.
Purple or even green are
Just my 2 cents. |

I love the black, wasn't keen on Kim's green, I don't think it's a great idea, keep her original Robert! _________________ Vegemite Nick #123 |

I don't like the green either. But if I can get a color close to the purple on the artwork, I'd probably go that route. _________________ Robert

Maybe you have already posted the answer and I have missed it, but I am curious Robert, why have you waited so long to uncrate your BBB? |

Short answer - limited space and time.
Long answer - Our gameroom is upstairs and only has room for about 7 pins. I have MANY other games folded up and stored safely in my garage. Whenever I want to move anything, I have a buddy come over to assist me. That usually only happens a couple of times a year. My wife also gave birth to our second child last October and as any parent of two or more kids can tell you, the time involved is exponentially more as compared to just one. Also, work has had me swamped for the past year, often times requiring working 7 days a week.
I've got plenty of other games to keep me entertained in the meantime. _________________ Robert

I think the purple powdercoat looks pretty sharp. I saw both the green and purple machines. I was not too fond of the green, but the color was off - that green is hard to match. If you can match the purple real close that will look sharp. |

The pictures are from a proto BBB with special moddings like the sideart inside the cabinet and the "special painting" of the tube dancer.
Also, this one has a ticket dispenser.
I think it was one for somebody of the (japanese?) head office of Capcom.

Nope not mine. That was one of the originals.
Oh, and I didn't unbox my game as originally planned last week. It's still gonna be boxed for at least a few more months... _________________ Robert
