Basically it asks for a confirmation of my name, address, BBB # , etc.
It also asks if the game will be picked up in Bloomington or shipped.
I called and spoke with Georgianna (She is always so pleasant and patient with me.) She didn't have actual shipping costs but an estimate of $400 if shipped to California. Tax to be paid if picked up is $337.50.

Just got my letter and have a question.

Since I will be having my game shipped it requests a shipping address.

It does not state anything TOG posted in regards to the following:

Shipping Arrangements:
As it stands, the games that are being shipped will be sent to a terminal near their destination.
The current shipper is ABF.
From that point, there are three choices:
1. You pick up the game from terminal.
2. A $35 fee to the carrier will get the truck to your door. YOU must make arrangements to get the game out of the truck...
3. A $85 fee to the carrier will get the truck to your door with a lift gate to lower the game to the ground.

I would like to pick up the game here in San Diego at the terminal. I will make this clear in my letter since I don't want to be billed an extra $85 and have to wait all day when I can pick it for free on my time.

What if someone wants to pay a trusted friend (instead of a shipping company) to transport the BBB back to them?

So, for the guy driving from Ohio charging $175 shipping... does that mean his Ohio customer has to pay him $175 and since he "picked it up" they still owe IL sales tax???

That doesn't make sense to me.

Can someone confirm this is true or not?

And yes, I got my beautiful blue envelope with that #31 on it!!!

Gene said that if the game is picked up by you or anyone who is not a real carrier, you will have to pay sales tax. If it is shipped with a company that does shipping, you won't have to pay the sales tax. He's just living within the law.

Oh, and I didn't get my letter today... Sad
