Gene made it through the surgery but there seems to be a leak and they are recycling his blood and pumping it back into him.

I was told this can be done twice before they need to give him new blood.

If the oozing doesn't stop somewhere between 6 hours and the doctor's discretion they will need to go back in and look around to make sure everything is working correctly.

They said he did very well in surgery and this is just a minor glitch and nothing to really worry about.

Mom and 1 of my sister stayed with him and the rest of us came back to town to take care of everything.

We looked like a "tribe" descending on the hospital this morning, we are fortunate there was such a large waiting room.

Please continue to keep Gene in your thoughts and prayers.

I talked to Kim yesterday, Gene was suppose to get out of the hospital on Wednesday, but there was something they were concerned about so they were suppose to keep him until yesterday or today. I'll update when I know more. Kim will be taking Gene's place at the York show. Her husband will be doing the driving.
